Julie Powell

MS, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist

Julie received her Master degree in Occupational therapy from San Jose State University and her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, East Bay. She additionally has certifications in exercise physiology, pilates and yoga, and Julie enjoys bringing these elements into her sessions to further progress children in their self regulation, motor skills, and sensory processing. Julie frequently integrates Julia Harper’s H.O.P.E Protocol, Astronaut Training, Toolbox, and Nature-Based Therapy into her sessions, amongst other interventions.

Julie additionally has experience working with neurodiverse children in a variety of settings including homes, clinics, community settings, nature settings and schools, in the areas of motor, sensory processing, and independent living skills. Julie is trauma-informed and being a the mother of 3 adult daughters, she also understands the importance of working together with families. 

Julie’s goal is to provide her clients with the tools they need to be successful in their homes, schools and community.
