Joyce Chio

M.Ed., BCBA, Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Joyce has been practicing as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2021 and has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2018. She received her Masters in Special Education with an emphasis in ABA from the University of Washington and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Joyce has experience working with children with autism and developmental delays in the home, clinic and school settings. Joyce enjoys providing child-directed, data driven, play-based therapy to teach socially-significant skills that allows her patients to gain access to reinforcers that bring joy to their lives. Joyce believes that collaboration with caregivers, teachers, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and other important individuals is an integral part of treatment. Joyce finds the most rewarding part of her job is making children laugh and teaching the power of functional communication in everyday life.
